Acupuncture That Adapts With You
Individualized acupuncture based on what your body needs today.
Acupuncture isn't about using the same points for everyone with the same concern. Each visit starts with how you're feeling, what's changed, and what we're working toward, so your treatment can adapt with you.

My Approach to Acupuncture
Treat. Reassess. Adapt.
I see acupuncture as a tool we can use to support your body while it adapts, recovers, and responds to what's happening in your life.
Before I place a needle, I want to know:
How are you feeling today?
What's changed since your last treatment?
What are we trying to support?
Your treatment can change as you do.
Two people can come in with the same concern and receive different treatments. And your own treatment may look different from one appointment to the next.
The goal isn't treatment for the sake of treatment. It's to use acupuncture intentionally, reassess how you're doing, and adjust treatment based on what you need.

The TCM Lens
Looking at more than one symptom
Acupuncture has its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which looks at patterns across the body rather than considering each symptom completely on its own.
That means your treatment may be informed not only by the concern that brought you in, but also by things like your sleep, digestion, energy, stress, menstrual cycle, temperature patterns, and other changes you've noticed.
In TCM, these patterns help guide the selection of acupuncture points and the overall focus of treatment.
I combine this traditional framework with my training as a Naturopathic Doctor and what I learn from you at each visit to create an individualized treatment.
Same symptom. Different person. Different treatment.
What to Expect
01 | Check In
We'll talk about what brought you in, how you've been feeling, and what you'd like support with. If you've had treatment before, we'll also discuss what's changed since your last visit.
02 | Individualized Treatment
Very fine, sterile, single-use acupuncture needles are placed at points selected based on your treatment that day.
03 | Reassess
How you respond helps guide what happens next. We may continue with a similar focus, change the treatment, space appointments further apart, or decide you don't need another treatment right now.

A Few Common Questions
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are very thin. You may feel a brief pinch, heaviness, warmth, tingling, or a dull sensation, but many people find treatment quite comfortable.
How many treatments will I need?
There isn't one set number or schedule. It depends on what you're coming in for, how long it's been going on, your goals, and how you respond. Some people may benefit from closer treatments initially, while others need less frequent care. We'll reassess as we go rather than automatically keeping you on a weekly schedule.
What if I'm nervous about needles?
That's completely okay. Let me know before we begin and we can go at your pace. Treatment can be adapted to your comfort level, and you can always tell me if something doesn't feel right.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to areas such as your arms and lower legs. Depending on your treatment, we may also need access to other areas of the body, and we'll make sure you're appropriately draped and comfortable.
