Functional
Range Assessment

Stop guessing. Start with a plan built around your body.

If you’re dealing with pain, stiffness, recurring limitations, or frustration with what your body can’t currently do, the answer usually isn’t another random exercise program.

The first step is understanding how your body moves.

A Functional Range Assessment at LIFT Collective looks at your mobility, joint function, movement control, and current capacity so we can create a clear starting point based on your body, your goals, and the activities that matter to you.

More Than a Movement Screen

Your body isn't a collection of isolated parts. A limitation in one area can influence how you move somewhere else.

That’s why we assess your joints individually, looking at mobility, active control, strength, and how your body compensates.

One important piece is comparing your passive range of motion with your active range of motion.

Passive range tells us where a joint can potentially move.

Active range tells us how much of that movement you can actually control.

Together, we’re trying to answer three questions:

What can your body currently do?

What’s limiting you?

What capacity should we build next?

This isn’t about being “flexible enough.” It’s about understanding the movement options available to you so we can decide what will be most meaningful to improve.
